ER2594 is a super‑duplex stainless steel TIG filler wire conforming to AWS A5.9 / ASME SFA 5.9, designed for welding super-duplex alloys like UNS S32750 (2507), S32760 (Zeron 100), and ASTM A890 grades, as well as for connecting carbon or low-alloy steels to duplex steels with high corrosion resistance and exceptional strength. The alloy features a carefully balanced chemistry—24–27% chromium, 8–10.5% nickel, 2.5–4.5% molybdenum, 0.20–0.30% nitrogen, and trace elements like carbon, manganese, silicon, copper, tungsten, phosphorus, and sulfur—that promotes a robust ferrite-austenite microstructure (approximately 45–55% ferrite), delivering excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting in chloride-rich environments. Its mechanical profile is impressive, with a tensile strength of ~123,000 psi (~850 MPa), yield strength of ~94,000 psi (~650 MPa), and elongation around 28%

304L stainless steel TIG wire is a welding filler rod used in the TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding process for joining or repairing components made from 304L stainless steel, or similar austenitic stainless steels. The "L" in 304L stands for "low carbon", which means this alloy contains a maximum of 0.03% carbon—much lower than standard 304 stainless steel. This low carbon content helps prevent carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion, especially in high-temperature or corrosive environments.

This type of TIG wire typically has a composition that includes 18–20% chromium and 8–12% nickel, giving it excellent corrosion resistance, ductility, and weldability. It's non-magnetic in the annealed condition and maintains good strength and toughness even at cryogenic temperatures. Because of these qualities, 304L TIG wire is widely used across industries like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, dairy, and architectural fabrication.

When using 304L TIG wire, the welding process typically requires an inert shielding gas—usually argon—to protect the molten weld pool from atmospheric contamination. The result is a clean, strong weld with minimal spatter and good fusion. It’s often chosen for applications where the welded joint must resist corrosion, especially in moist or mildly acidic environments.
